  Job Title:   Journey Level Millwright
  Job Location:   Darrington, WA
  Job Description:   To work safely and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Will have the ability to establish a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization. Must understand the mechanics of working machinery, be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facilities. Ability to understand and work with work order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.

2. Good manual dexterity.
3. Good hand/eye coordination.
4. Good communication skills through writing, speech, & hearing.
5. Capable of working on ladders, walking stairs, and on uneven surfaces.

6. Have a thorough working knowledge of mechanical operations used in the industry and be able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and facilities.
7. Possess the necessary skills and aptitudes required to operate maintenance tools and related machinery.
8. Be able to operate all facility equipment to the degree needed for troubleshooting and testing.
9. Assist production personnel to maintain the flow of product.
10. Follow Company lockout, safety, and work standards.
11. Attend any training necessary to upgrade performance.
12. Operate machinery in a safe manner so injury does not occur to operator or any employee in the area.
13. Notify supervisor of any problems that arise during the shift.
14. Train any employees as assigned by supervisor.
15. Work overtime as necessary.

16. Clean shop and maintain proper housekeeping to promote a safe work environment.

Describe and explain the lifting and carrying requirements:
Hand tools and parts that are within acceptable lifting limits will occasionally be carried to/from equipment. These materials are typically carried at waist height for up to 200 feet.

Repetitive use of hands:
Simple Grasping: Normal weight 0-15 lbs, frequently
Pushing/Pulling: Normal weight 0- 15 lbs, frequently
Fine Manipulations Required: frequent use of hand tools and associated equipment will be required.

Repetitive use of foot or feet in operating machine controls:
Infrequent use of mobile equipment foot pedals is required.

All are required.

Describe: Sawmill machinery is operating constantly. Need to be alert at all times. Learn to use
proper safeguards and follow safe operating procedures. Precautions must be taken in order to
work safely on machinery.


Personal Protective Equipment required:
Safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toed work boots, hearing protection, welding hood, cutting glasses, and gloves.

  Experience/Skills Required:   A minimum of 3-years in a Journey Level Industrial Millwright position or be currently enrolled in a Hampton Apprenticeship Program. State classification as a Journeyman Millwright is preferred but not required. Must hold and maintain current Hampton PIT authorization. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Proficient in ability to weld, cut, troubleshoot equipment and systems, maintain all working components, operate machinery, understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems, proficient use of all tools relate to the trade and good communication skills.
  Hours:   40 hrs/Wk Flexible to meet the needs of the operational
  Compensation:   $24.06 + Applicable shift differential
